Equity Lyon: Successful World Cup debate Four Seasons

Sunday, November 5, 2017
Lyon, France
Tuesday morning before the crack of dawn, Diederik, Alex and groom Anke went on their journey to Equita Lyon, where the thirteen year old Four Seasons would make his FEI World Cup debut.

After passing Wednesday's vetcheck with ease, the Grand Prix followed on Thursday. The chestnut sired by Fürst Piccolo x Mon Cheri enjoyed a well deserved holiday after doing an amazing job at the Europeans, yet despite his competition break, the gelding performed great. Four was light on his feet and very gracious in his test and his rider was satisfied, despite a few minor hick ups. With 71.840% and the 8th position, they qualified for the freestyle.

In the kür to music, Four Seasons excelled again. A mistake in the two tempis was set straight on the reserve line, the score rising to 74,115% and 11th place. A fairly well result for the first indoor competition of the season.

Right after the last class, Team Van Silfhout departured Lyon and drove back home. After an eight hour drive, they arrived in Lunteren. We can look back on a great World Cup competition and will focus on the upcoming events this winter. Amongst them is the four star show in Roosendaal, which will take place by the end of November.
